Golden Dance Awards!

I recently received some very exciting news...

RMB Dance is a finalist in THREE categories in the Golden Dance Awards Scotland:

* Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

* Community Impact

* Dance for Wellbeing

When I started RMB Dance 5 years ago, I wanted to create a dance school where all are welcome, where children can freely express themselves, and where dance is used as a force for good. I'm extremely proud to be recognised in these categories which represent who we are and what I strive for.

As a dance school which is founded in positivity, every decision I make is based on whether it encourages good in our dancers. Everything we do in classes is based on kindness, positivity, being our true selves, and showing our genuine love we have for dancing. I'd like to think that if you were to drop into the studio any day, you'd see an extremely diverse group of dancers just having so much fun dancing together!

The same goes for our performances and outreach work. As RMB Dance continues to grow, the number of projects and performance opportunities we're invited to is increasing too. Before agreeing to these opportunities and creating connections, I always consider if it's aligned to our ethos. This is why we love participating in charity showcases, fundraising events and care home.

The award ceremony takes place at the end of April, so I'm excited to attend and celebrate dance across the country!
