Performance at the Gyle!

We recently experienced a new performance opportunity: dancing in a shopping centre!
I often say that our dancers are happy to dance anywhere, and on Saturday we added a new experience to our growing list! We were invited to dance as part of Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity's fundraising stall at the Gyle Centre, and what a lovely time we had.
We never quite know what to expect when turning up to perform in a new environment, and our dancers always impress me with how adaptable they are. Although I try to prepare them as much as possible, it's impossible to know for sure until we get there. The Gyle was BUSY with Saturday shoppers, but our dancers weren't fazed at all. I was delighted to see that many shoppers stopped to watch, and we developed quite a crowd!
Each time we perform, I can see our dancers' confidence growing that little bit more. This is especially good practise in the run up to show, which is now just a couple of months away!
We're open to participating in any events that support our community, so this one being in support of Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity was an immediate 'yes' for us. Our first show, back in 2023, was in aid of this charity, and with some of our dancers having experienced the amazing work they do we were delighted to be able to support them again.
I'm so grateful to our dancers and their grown ups who always embrace these opportunities, sometimes travelling across Edinburgh to participate. We've got several more community events booked into our diary already, so there will be several more chances to see us in action 🕺
In the meantime, you can find out more about the fantastic ECHC here:
