Performance at Gracemount Mansion!

February may have been a short month but it was a very busy one! For us, it involved several new experiences and opportunities on top of our usual classes and show preparations.

One of the new experiences was that we were invited to perform at Gracemount Mansion. This was an event put on for the local community, and involved food, stalls, workshops, and music. Several of these community parties happen throughout the year, as a way of bringing the community together and celebrating the local area.

Our group of 10 dancers performed a selection of routines outside in the walled garden next to the mansion. The glorious Scottish weather graced us with a dry but bitterly cold day, but our dancers just on got with it!

I'm always proud of how they embrace these experiences, and bring energy and joy wherever they go. Their confidence in themselves as performers has grown so much over the years; I know that wherever we go, they'll do their best and dance with passion. This is all I ever ask of them. Their dancing at the mansion attracted an impressive crowd, and several members of the public approached me afterwards to share wonderfully positive feedback.

For me, opportunities like this are so important. My mission for RMB Dance is to ignite a love of dance in my students, and subsequently use that love of dance to do good in the community and bring joy. We look forward to returning to the mansion again!
