Performance at the Meadows Festival!

We recently enjoyed our first appearance at the Meadows Festival and... wow, our dancers did BRILLIANTLY!
This was a big, busy festival, so to be asked along to perform was quite an honour! We had a full half-hour slot, so our dancers performed several dance routines with energy and commitment throughout. Outdoor events in Scotland always come with a weather risk, but thankfully we had a fine day!
As a non-competitive dance school, community events are a significant part of what we do, providing valuable experiences and opportunities for our dancers. When performing at a new event though, there's always an element of unknown. Whilst I research, plan, and try to prepare our dancers as much as possible, we never know for sure what to expect until we get there. Yet, our dancers never fail to amaze me with how they turn up, adapt to the environment and just get on with it.
I received many comments afterwards praising our dancers' performances, and how joyful their dancing was. I may be biased but I absolutely agree! Something else I particularly loved was that several of our dancers who were not performing came along to support and cheer us on - togetherness and community is so important at RMB Dance. There's no kind of hierarchy within our dance school and we all want each other to do well.
A huge thank you to the Meadows Festival team for inviting us. This is a volunteer-run event that was so well organised and we loved being part of it. Being so close to where we're based at the Crags, it was lovely to be performing close to "home".
Our next community performance is at the end of the month - we're always busy at RMB Dance!
