If you missed our amount reveal, I'm delighted to say that our performance of 'Dance It Out' raised a phenomenal £1,045!!
I didn't have a goal in mind, as any amount would be gratefully received, but to go over a thousand again was certainly not expected! Yet it proves just how incredible our community is. I'm quite overwhelmed by the generosity and support that we've had in our shows.
Of course, the children are completely responsible for these results. Their performances on stage so clearly showed how much care and effort they put in throughout the rehearsal process.
The children knew that they weren't trying to impress me; I wasn't putting pressure on them to give absolutely perfect performances. Instead, I tried to emphasise the idea that we were using our passion to help others. Our dancers seemed interested in this idea, with one of them saying: "Wow, by just moving our bodies we're making money for charity!"
I do think this is quite a unique approach for a dance school show, and one that I'm proud of.
Again, thank you so much for this support. I know that Simpsons Special Care Babies are so very grateful, with them saying:
"Many thanks to Rachel and her amazing team of children from RMB Dance for raising £1,045 at their recent show - super achievement from all involved!"
